Yesterday was the second anniversary of my mum’s passing away, another moment to focus on her strength, courage, tenacity, spirit, insight, astuteness and wisdom, honed through the trials of life and history, and experiences from work, family, migration and community. We lit night-light candles, placed with photos, as a reminder and to keep her spirit close and loved.
